Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu was born in the United States. Liu is an American actor, singer and voice-over artist. A beautiful and smart actress, she's an example to many Asian actors who aspire to become famous in Hollywood. Her early success was boosted when she appeared in several popular television series. She played the villainous Ling Woo. She translated her unexpected popularity into big screen roles in films such as Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Then she gave a stunning performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In the same time frame she also acted as the lead in a few flops at the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated movies such as Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and many others, she voiced characters with prominent voices. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia as well as other smaller-screen roles failed to bring her much success. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of police dramas that had Liu playing recurring role, allowed her to reaffirm her role as an actress. Liu picks her roles wisely so that she doesn't become a typecast character in the highly competitive field. Although she is adamant about her heritage but it doesn't mean she has to be in her professional work in the field of art.
