Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a struggling family that would one day include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to be free from life's hardships by using her expansive and vivid imagination. Prior to learning how to compose and read, she composed the music she composed herself. As a young girl and had the first electric guitar. Then she began singing for the Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. In the same year, she recorded her first record on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. She established herself on the local circuit while in the high school system, but she wanted to be on of a bigger stage. Following her graduation from highschool in 1964, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first single to reach the top of the charts on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for female performers to perform on his show syndicated by him until this point. Parton was hired in 1967 she signed with RCA Records by 1968, and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. In 1974, she resigned from The Wagoner's Show due to the popularity of her individual songs, such as Joshua Coats of Many Colors or Jolene was surpassing their joint albums. The two split in 1974, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it made it to No. 1. for the first time in 1974.
