Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic - and Ilkay Silk, an accomplished actress as well as a writer, director, and producer. Anna was born in Fredericton and is the child of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her performances as a kid as well as watching her mother at work. She appeared in many commercials when she was a child.
